Built in and reusable flow "mesh" and breather cloth.
Alan Harper Composites Ltd bring another advance to save moulders money
After several developments and clients demands we now offer moulding in flow channels to our reusable vacuum membranes . Although an obvious idea, it was originally used by Seemann Composites in the 80’s but has now evolved into a more advanced system using Platinum cured mouldable silicone and mouldable textures
Reflow™ is a reusable flow texture in positive format which can be adhered to the pattern so that the reusable vacuum membrane can be sprayed over, cured and released with the flow texture in female format as channels build in to its moulding surface.
Reflow™ has various flow line textures but common is 1.0 and 0.5 mm flow channels on 1cm spacing.
Not only does Reflow™ provide in built channels in the reusable membrane to eliminate consumable flow mesh and peel ply but also when used over prepreg the need for breather cloth medium is eliminated
At present Reflow™ is supplied in 42 x 29 cm sheets with paper backing for adhesion to the master pattern.
Reflow™ measures 0.25 mm thickness without the texture height added.
